Projecting

Ben Gilyot joins me once again on PROJECTING. We discuss Bioware, changes in super hero movies and fandom, and as always, the politics of representation in media!

Thanks for listening! There were some minor technical mishaps, but after much editing the episode is now good to go.

My good friend and fellow filmmaker, Ben Zschunke, came on Projecting! His new amazing feature film, The Polar Bear Club, which he produced/script supervised/co-wrote/etc. (too many roles to count!), just had its world premier in Nashville, TN. Check it out, follow his work, and enjoy our chat about The Polar Bear Club, our trip to Tennessee, and a bit about our current projects!

My old friend and recent colleague David Bienvenue comes on the podcast. Our collective ADHD is a force to be reckoned with.

So someone was crazy enough to say yes. Way to go, Ann Marshall!

We got engaged, it was actually quite the operation. Find out from Ann Marshall herself (naturally I NEVER injected myself in the conversation) what went down as we take a drive to Austin, TX!

We chat about the engagement, what's been going on in our lives lately, and give a little sneak peak in to recent reddit doc developments. We were on the road so there is a little background noise, but everything should be pretty clear (hooray noise cancellation!)

Cheers

More Kung Fury, my sister's engagement luncheon, and the conclusion to our epic discussion on Creole identity. Let's get culturally sensitive!

My brother returns to his humble abode in New Orleans, LA! We discussed the recent SCOTUS rulings, his time on "The Hill," and my favorite subject, his thesis on Creole Identity in Louisiana (most importantly, OBVIOUSLY, New Orleans!). Pretentiousness and accents abound in this "The Women's US Team just won the Women's World Cup!"-fueled episode of "Projecting."

This week I talk about working in film and some of the lessons along the way. From the DSLR Revolution enabling many like myself to break in to film, to how I sometimes struggle to walk the walk when it comes to my values and philosophies regarding film and beyond.

Yes, the episode is late. What do you want from me? It's free. <3

This week I record from the road (luckily I don't mean that literally). Beautiful starry nights, the zombie apocalypse, and the Steam Summer Sale annihilating my wallet one transaction at a time!

Hit me up at twitter! Subscribe on itunes to "Projecting"! Wee!

Because I'm traveling, I decided to upload an old favorite from a podcast my friend Sarah and I did a while back. We focused on documentary films and discussed/mused/rambled over them. These will pop up from time to time when I am unavailable and/or when she and I decide to record more new ones! Weeeee!

My good friend Niels came to town! We discussed electronic medical records, the challenges of med school and the industry as a whole, how amazing Kung Fury was, and close with a little discussion on how awkward the end of Halo 4 is (his first play-through).
